About Size 36DD Bras

A 36DD is a 36 band with a DD cup — a fuller cup. The band does most of the work (around 80% of your support), so if it rides up at the back or the straps dig in, it's the band to fix, not you.

Is 36DD bra size big?

It's a comfortably full size — DD on a roomier 36 band. Full through the cup, but the band does the support, so it sits steady rather than 'big'.

Is a 36DD bigger than a 34D?

Yes, on both counts — a bigger band and a fuller cup. If a 34D rides up at the back, a 36DD may sit better; a fitting will tell.

Are 36DD and 38D the same?

They're sister sizes — the same cup volume, different band. The 38D has a bigger band and shallower-looking cup; the 36DD a snugger band. Choose by which band sits comfortably.

Is DD a large size?

DD is just one step above D — a moderate fuller cup, not a large one. How it reads depends entirely on the band it's paired with.
