About Size 32DD Bras

A 32DD is a 32 band with a DD cup — a fuller cup. The band does most of the work (around 80% of your support), so if it rides up at the back or the straps dig in, it's the band to fix, not you.

Questions, answered

Is 32DD a large bra size?

It's a moderate fuller-bust size. The 32 band is fairly snug and DD is just one step above D, so it reads as full rather than large. The band does most of the support work.

What bra size is under 32DD?

One cup down is 32D; one band down is 30E, its sister size with the same volume. If a 32DD cup overflows, size up to 32E; if the band rides up, the cup may be too small.

Is a 32DD bigger than 36DD?

No. Same letter, but the 36 band is bigger, so 36DD holds a larger cup volume. A cup letter only means something next to its band.

Which is bigger, 32DD or 34C?

32DD has the fuller cup; 34C has a bigger band but a shallower cup. They're close in volume — 32DD's sister going up is 34D, so a 34C sits just under it.
