This is the bra size chart most Indian shops never print: band first, inches and centimetres side by side, UK cup letters with their US names, and it keeps going past D all the way to K. Find your row, find your column, and you have a size. Whether you need a bra size chart in cm or in inches, both are in every cell.
It is a chart, not a lecture. If you want to know what the letters actually mean, that has its own page, and if you suspect your current bras are the wrong size, start with why so many of us were fitted into the wrong size.
How do you read a bra size chart?
Find your under-bust measurement in the Under-bust column; that row is your band. Then move right along the same row until you reach your bust measurement; that column is your cup. Put the two together and you have your size, for example 34F. Each column also gives the US name for the same cup, because US-labelled bras use different letters after DD.
You need two numbers before you start:
- Under-bust: wrap the tape snugly around your ribcage, right under your breasts, level all the way round. Round to the nearest whole inch. If that is an odd number, go up one: 33 becomes a 34 band.
- Bust: wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, level across your back too, resting on you rather than pulled tight.
- What to wear: a non-padded bra, and use whichever unit your tape reads. The chart has both.
That is the short version. The full measuring method, with the leaning measurement most guides skip, sits on our page about how to measure your size at home.
Bra size chart in inches and cm (bands 28–44, cups DD–K)
Scoop's range starts at a DD cup, so this chart does too. Cups A to D follow exactly the same arithmetic, one inch per letter, so you can count backwards from DD if you need to.
Each cell shows the bust measurement for that size in inches, then centimetres. Where a size is linked, it goes to the bras we stock in that size.

The two names in each column header are one size, not two. A UK F and a US DDDD (or G) hold exactly the same volume; the letters just split into two alphabets after D. The K column shows the UK letter only.
How the numbers work, in two lines: your band is your under-bust rounded to an even number. Your cup is your bust minus that band number, one letter for every inch. So an under-bust of 33 and a bust of 41 is a 34 band with a 7-inch difference, which is a 34F.
If you wanted a bra size chart with images, the whole grid above is also one picture you can save to your phone and take shopping. Here is the same chart with one size traced through it:
Sister sizes: when the chart gives you two answers
Sometimes your numbers sit right between two cells, or a bra in your size fits the cup but not the band. That is where sister sizes come in. Go down one band size and up one cup letter, or up one band and down one letter, and the cup holds the same volume on a tighter or looser band.
| One band down | Your size | One band up |
|---|---|---|
| 28GG | 30G | 32FF |
| 30FF | 32F | 34E |
| 30H | 32GG | 34G |
| 32F | 34E | 36DD |
| 32G | 34FF | 36F |
| 32HH | 34H | 36GG |
| 34FF | 36F | 38E |
| 34GG | 36G | 38FF |
| 36G | 38FF | 40F |
Sister sizes are arithmetic, not advice about your body. The band is what does most of the supporting, so try the band that feels snug on the loosest hook first, then move along this row only if the cup or band is the thing that is off.
UK, US, EU and India: converting a bra size chart
Most fuller-bust bras sold in India, including the UK brands Scoop stocks, are labelled in UK sizes, so the letters across the top of this chart are the ones you will see on the tag. Some brands use US letters instead, and the label decides which name applies: your UK bra size and your US bra size share a band number and can differ on the letter. That is why each column carries both.
If you were looking for a bra size chart ABCD style, those four letters work exactly the same way as the ones above: each is one more inch between your bust and your band. The alphabet only splits after D.
European labels change the band numbers as well as the letters. EU bands are in centimetres, in steps of five:
| UK, US and India band | EU band |
|---|---|
| 28 | 60 |
| 30 | 65 |
| 32 | 70 |
| 34 | 75 |
| 36 | 80 |
| 38 | 85 |
| 40 | 90 |
| 42 | 95 |
| 44 | 100 |
EU cup letters run in their own single sequence, worked out in centimetres, so they do not line up letter for letter with UK cups. If a bra only carries an EU size, use that brand's own conversion. Any word here you have not met before is in our glossary.
Why brand charts disagree, and how to read any of them
Look up the same measurements on three brands' charts and you can get three sizes. There are three reasons.
Some add inches to the band. An older habit adds four or five inches to your under-bust to get the band. It is the reason so many people end up in a 36 band that rides up their back when a 32 would sit flat and do the lifting. This chart uses your under-bust as it is.
Some print US letters, some UK, some a mix. A chart that jumps from DD to G without saying whose letters it uses can put you two sizes out.
Some are simply wrong. One chart we checked prints its DD rows with bust measurements that match the band number, which is impossible for any cup.
So measure yourself, check which system the label uses, read that brand's own chart for that brand's bras, and expect to move one sister size between brands. A chart gets you close. A fitter gets you the rest, because shape, spacing and how full the top of your cup is never show up on a tape.

Bra size chart questions
Which cup size is bigger, B or C or D?
On the same band, D is bigger than C, and C is bigger than B, because each letter is one more inch between bust and band. But a letter on its own tells you nothing. A 32D holds less than a 38B, because the 38B's cup sits on a much larger band. Read the letter together with its number.
What is the smallest bra size?
There is no single answer. The smallest size on any chart is just the first row and column that brand chooses to print, and many charts start around a 28 or 30 band with an A or AA cup. It is a fact about the chart, not about bodies. This chart starts at DD because that is where Scoop's range begins. For the full answer, see what the smallest bra size is.
How can I calculate bra size?
Measure your under-bust snugly and round it to an even number: that is your band. Measure the fullest part of your bust, subtract the band, and count one cup letter per inch. Then check your result on the bra size chart above. For the full step-by-step, including the leaning measurement most guides skip, see how to measure your bra size at home. What is a bra size chart in S, M, L and XL?
Some brands sell bras in garment sizes instead of band and cup. Each S, M, L or XL covers a range of band-and-cup sizes, and every brand draws those ranges differently; a bra size chart in XL from one label will not match another's. Read that brand's own S to XL table as a range, find which band-and-cup sizes it claims to cover, and check whether yours is inside it.
Is a 34 or 36 bra bigger?
A 36 has the bigger band, since the number is your ribcage. With the same letter, a 36 cup also holds more than a 34. But sister sizes cross over: a 34C and a 36B hold the same cup volume, only on different bands. See the sister-size table above.
Is my bra size the same in every brand?
No. Brands differ on whether they add inches to the band, whether they use UK or US letters, and how firm their bands are. Measure yourself, read the label's system and use that brand's own chart. Expect to move one sister size up or down between brands; that is normal. To see which brands make which sizes in the first place, here is our guide to bra brands in India, sorted by the sizes they make.
How is a 34 bra size?
The 34 is the band. It fits an under-bust of about 33 to 34 inches, or 83 to 87 centimetres. On its own it is only half a size; the cup letter after it completes it. A 34DD and a 34H share a band and have very different cups. Find the 34 row in the chart to see every cup on it.
How often should I check the chart again?
Every six to twelve months, and sooner after weight change, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or whenever your bras stop feeling right. Bodies change and bands stretch, so re-measure and look yourself up again.
A bra size chart should do one job: turn two measurements into a size you can trust, whatever letter it lands on. This one runs band first, in both units, past D, with a link wherever a size is in stock. If your numbers still leave you between two answers, that is exactly what our fitters are for.
